We, at North India celebrate Navratras and Vijay Dashami though quite differently from the way its celebrated in West Bengal. But again, North India has several versions of the celebration. Coming back to your posts, a strange sense of sadness has captured me since I read that she will go away on Navami. This year for the first time in my life, the thought of it made me cry on the Navami day . It felt as if a part of self will get torn away for an year. Life will be so diffrent , may be, by the time she comes again next year. Reading Durga Chronicles and events of my life in these nine days have brought a totally different experience. I can say its the kind of 'once in a lifetime' experience. I enjoyed some part of it while some part of it has left me blank and scared. Hope to overcome this by the time she arrives next year. Oh yes! for some of us at North India, Nine days of Navratras are observed in March-April which also marks New year according to the Vikram Samvat calender.</content><link rel='edit' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/4444289434263747313/2572029971219668337/comments/default/8685240573992656554'/><link rel='self' type='application/atom+xml' href='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/4444289434263747313/2572029971219668337/comments/default/8685240573992656554'/><link rel='alternate' type='text/html' href='http://blog.rajatchaudhuri.net/2006/10/goddess-chronicles-iv.html?showComment=1159865880000#c8685240573992656554' title=''/><author><name>aprops</name><uri>http://www.blogger.com/profile/13789876710796748641</uri><email>noreply@blogger.com</email></author><thr:in-reply-to xmlns:thr='http://purl.org/syndication/thread/1.0' href='http://blog.rajatchaudhuri.net/2006/10/goddess-chronicles-iv.html' ref='tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4444289434263747313.post-2572029971219668337' source='http://www.blogger.com/feeds/4444289434263747313/posts/default/2572029971219668337' type='text/html'/></entry></feed>
