The Bible of Neologisms - Urban Dictionary Rocks!

Have you ever booked someone off? You must have one time or other. You take a train after a hard day's work and try to make yourself comfortable in your seat when the guy next to you strikes up some inane, or perhaps serious conversation. What you do? You take out a book (or maybe a newspaper) and bury your face. It works, it works! I have tried it several times. Urban Dictionary posted this brilliant new entry today - `To book off' ... i.e.`The act of getting a book out on the train, tube bus or plane in order to avoid talking to the person next to you. Substitutes include a newspaper, phone or iPod.' Here is the full entry from the Urban Dictionary website.Urban Dictionary is slowly turning into a Bible of neologisms satiating our insatiable word-thirst.
